Russia Post issued a Souvenir sheet to celebrate The 100th Anniversary of the Discovery of the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago on 4th September 2013.
On September 4, 1913 members of the Hydrographic Expedition of the Arctic Ocean ( 1910-1915 . ) Under the leadership of BA Celebes opened archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, located on the border of the Kara Sea and the Laptev Sea . The archipelago is called Land of Nicholas II. On January 11, 1926 under decree of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, it was renamed the Severnaya Zemlya .
